About me

I have been around the sport of Biathlon my whole life. My mother (Petra Cervenka) being an Olympic biathlete. Also my father (Vladimir Cervenka) being the Junior National team coach for the United States, I spent a lot of time getting to know all of his athletes. Being around the competitions so much and getting to watch these athletes that I knew well race, led me to a strong love for the sport.

Naturally with a Coach and a Olympian as parents I was skiing as soon as I could take my first steps. It wasn't until I was 13 in the fall when I moved on from just skiing to biathlon training at the Mt. Itasca venue in Grand Rapids MN. There is where I started with my precision shooting training part of biathlon.

After my Sophomore year at Grand Rapids High School I decided to continue my education and train at the sports school Gymnázium Vincence Makovského in Nove Mesto na Morave, Czech Republic. Their practice facility is one of the best biathlon venues in the world. This is where I will train and compete all season long until late December when I will fly to Alaska for US world junior/youth qualifiers, and Youth Olympic qualifiers. Though my main goal is the Youth Olympics I believe I have a good shot at both.

I will be writing blogs on my experiences in the Czech Republic. I'll try my best to  post roughly every other week, maybe more if something very exciting comes up. For now enjoy some pictures where biathlon has taken me on so far.
